The Canadian regulator is inspired by the example of Facebook, which banned the advertisement of ICO

Yesterday, Google received a request from the Canadian regulator – representatives of the Securities Commission of Canada appealed to the management of Google with a request to impose a ban on advertising the primary offer of coins, digital currencies, and binary options. The chairman of the Task Force on Binary Options of Canada joined the request. This was reported by the Canadian edition of Casinoreports.

The article also says that US law enforcement agencies and financial regulators are joining the voice of the request. Investigator of the Securities Commission of Manitoba, Jason Roy expressed his satisfaction with the decision of Facebook and expressed the hope that Google will do the same.

“I believe that the management of Facebook has taken a wise and far-sighted decision by banning these financial products on its own resources. They took care of their users and ruled out the possibility of advertising fraud, which is so common in the crypto-currency area. I hope that Google will follow suit, “Jason Roy said.

Recall that the measures to ban advertising of crypto-currency activities were also taken up by the authorities of China – in their social networks and search engines, it will also soon be impossible to see the promotion of financial products that may conceal the fraud.
