Turkish football club bought a player for cryptocurrency
Turkish football team “Harunustaspor” for the first time in the history of football acquired a player for bitcoin.
Twenty-two-year-old footballer Omer Faruk Kiroglu was bought from Turkish Akkaziye FC for 440 euros, while the payment was made by bitcoin transaction for an equivalent amount of 0.0524 BTC.

But the most interesting is that the young footballer will also receive a salary in bitcoins.
Club President Khaldun Shehit noted that he is very proud that for the first time in world history his small club made a purchase in this way.
However, many skeptics suspect that the operation of transferring a player for a crypto currency is just an advertising move by the leadership of the club in order to draw the world’s attention to itself and glorify to the whole world an unknown team, not an excellent game, but a way of buying new players.
