Service staff solve the problem with database synchronization
One of the largest crypto-exchange exchanges in the world – Binance announced that the service will be unavailable for at least 12 hours.
First of all, this is due to the need to update the system, and in particular – to eliminate problems when copying data that require the database to be synchronized again from the main node. Note that in recent times the number of users and stock exchange activity of Binance as a whole have increased significantly, so it is not surprising that the service needs a certain time-out.
Judging by the comments of the Exchange customers, at first they were simply not allowed to perform operations, and then, 2 hours after the start of the work, a corresponding post was published on the Binance blog asking for patience. Based on the information received, to finish those. works are promised by 12-00 UTC.
Sometime after the publication, the CEO of Binance – Changpeng Zhao, included in the list of crypto-millionaires according to Forbes, turned to clients. He told the users about the problems with the synchronization of the data and warned that the configuration might take a little longer than previously stated. Due to the delay, Zhao promised traders to allocate half an hour for the cancellation of orders, before the trading on the stock exchange will resume.
By the way, while Binance is in the “knockout”, the first place in the daily trading volume went to OKEx.
Traders can only count on the fact that forecasts about time will not turn out to be false, as the recent maintenance at the Kraken exchange, whose estimated duration was supposed to be about 2-3 hours, eventually dragged on for 3 days.
