Revenues of the South Korean crypto exchanges in 2017 grew by 85 times

Cryptocurrency exchanges of South Korea for 2017 could gain 700 billion won (about $655 million). This information was given by the ex-representative of the president of South Korea. Indices of 2017 to 85 times more, than in previous — 2016 in which the exchanges received only 8 billion won ($7,5 million).

Nearly a half of the amount specified for 2017 was earned by the Bithumb exchange — 318 billion won ($300 million). The second place with revenue of 193 billion won ($183 million) was taken by the Upbit exchange. On the third and fourth place, Korbit and Coinone with revenues of 68 billion won ($63 million) and 77 billion won ($72 million) respectively settled down.

In spite of the fact that the government of South Korea in September vetoed carrying out ICO and continues to move in the direction of toughening of the legislation concerning holders of digital assets, the cryptocurrency market of this country became the largest among the world.

We will remind, not so long ago it became known that in Korea opening of several more cryptocurrency exchanges, among which Zeniex and Dexco are planned. At the same time the government continues to toughen regulation of cryptocurrency activities of the population — now in the country, the prohibition of the virtual scores of users which did not confirm the personality and also on trade for minor traders and foreigners is entered.
