During recent recession in which the bitcoin fell to what most likely is a bottom, that is to ~ $5 000 the unknown investor bought 96 000 BTC which cost more than one billion dollars now.
Andy Hoffman, the ardent supporter of bitcoin calling himself the crypto consultant said to the subscribers on Twitter publicly:
“The address 3Cbq7aT1tY8kMxWLbitaG7yT6bPbKChq64 acquired BTC for $344 million at the average price of $8 400 from 09.02.18 till 12.02.18, then almost doubled this amount, having added 41 000 coins. The total quantity made 96 000 coins which at the price of $9 400 cost about $900 000 000”.
On February 4 Hoffman said: “At the cost of $8 000 only $1.3 billion is required to disable 1% of all existing bitcoins, except for 3+ of million lost forever. Only if you are able to find the seller of 168 000 BTC”
Pathetic one billion. Who this mysterious buyer, remains to unknowns, but the first transaction on this address was made on September 8, 2017, at 0:01 BTC. Possibly, it was tested transaction because it was quickly removed or sent to the fact that, apparently, the bitcoin address of the exchange or the broker is.
Having sent two more small amounts and having convinced that everything works normally, this natural or legal entity acquired on November 7 4 000 BTC. In December and January purchases continued — at first 1 000 BTC, and in February the amounts considerably increased, having reached 5 000-6 000 bitcoins.
It is unknown to whom belongs this address with one billion dollars, but some claim that it is the exchange though it looks it is very improbable as the volume of input and output of means not so big.
It can be the broker. Within two days in December, two transfers to the address 1LA which was also open in September 2017 were made. On its balance, there were about 400 BTC now.
It can demonstrate what both addresses belong to the same person, or that is less probable, it was the amount sold out of the exchange.
We do not know how the situation actually, but the fact that the most part of BTC was bought during recent minima is. Since then the bitcoin more than doubled, now being trading approximately for $11 600.
