Trading network Yamada Denki became a partner of Bitflyer’s crypto-exchange
Yamada Denki, Japan’s largest retail chain that specializes in the sale of consumer electronics, has become a business partner of Bitflyer’s crypto-exchange, to start making test payments in its stores.
Digital currencies will be accepted so far in only 2 points – Concept Labi and Yamada Denki Labi in Tokyo. However, the management of the corporation is set to introduce payment by cryptocurrency in all stores of the network.
According to representatives of the trading company, test shops are often visited by foreign buyers, which will effectively introduce payment in bitcoins.
However, as long as there is a restriction, buyers will be able to pay off a cryptocurrency equivalent to no more than 300,000 yen (approximately $ 7,800).
The first 500 buyers who paid for purchases in digital currencies, Bitflyer gave 500 yen to the purse with the same name.
This is not the first such partnership for the Bitflyer exchange – in April 2017, the network of Bic Camera stores has already tested the possibility of paying bitcoins.
